A Tribute to Garou

The RRP crew and I are mourning the loss of Magoo Gelehrter,

You can read about his brave battle with cancer here.
If you're able, please make a monetary donation there too.
The extra money will help Danielle (Penny),
his on and off screen wife, during this time.

My heart is breaking for her,
but as she said "I do not fear the end, for it is only the beginning."
I believe that too.

So I won't play a sad song on my Kazoo of DOOM,
which I received when I joined their Fan Coven.
Along with the signed photo and other treasures.

Instead I'm going with a classic cover by Vincent Price,
another sorely missed man, whose birthday is today!

The Breadwinner Trilogy

“The end of the world is not glamorous.”

In a matter of days the human race was reduced to nothing more than vicious, flesh hungry creatures. This three part story takes you into the world of the survivors, coming from different generations and different sides of the tracks, they all share one thing in common: who you once were can no longer determine who you will be in the face of catastrophe.

Samson, a once wealthy and powerful criminal defense attorney struggles to keep his family safe and keep his sanity intact when the world comes apart at the seams. Veronica, the high school track star races to get her brother out of the city and into the safety of Franklin Woods. Along the way we come across the struggles of finding solace, finding out who you really are, and making decisions in a post apocalyptic world. The Breadwinner is a three part story and the first book in a planned series that will leave you craving more.

Get it for FREE on Amazon through 5/21 here!

The survivors of The Breadwinner have barely escaped the clutches of the undead and are headed into the unknown, continuing their never ending search for solace in the post-apocalyptic landscape they were suddenly thrust into. The city of Haven, once a paradise for the living, but now crawling with the flesh hungry creatures they try so hard to elude, could be their only chance. Resume your post-apocalyptic survival adventure with Veronica, Samson and Ben as they struggle with hope and loss, and as they battle the futility of existence. Take on a new experience as you find yourself once more at the beginning, thrown into the depths of the end of the world with new survivors. Join Michelle and Lulu, ordinary women faced with extraordinary obstacles on their devastating journey and the pursuit of sanctuary in a world collapsed.

Haven continues the story of The Breadwinner with the addition of new territory, new characters, and new complications. The second book in The Breadwinner Trilogy will leave you stunned and bloodthirsty for the conclusion of the series. Who you once were still does not determine who you will become in the face of catastrophe, especially in Haven.

Mother's Day PSA

Wish I knew who made this masterpiece

The Lord of Darkness: The Unicorns are dead, is this not true?
Blix: True lord, very plenty true.
Pox: Undeniably true.
The Lord of Darkness: You lie! Here is dawn!
Blix: The stallion is dead. Dead as dreams.
The Lord of Darkness: Out with it!
Pox: The mare lives still!
The Lord of Darkness: If even one Unicorn walks the Earth my power is not complete.
Blix: It's just a female, lord. She has no power.
The Lord of Darkness: Only the power of creation! Get the mare, I command you!

I love that quote from the movie Legend.
I find it empowering, because to me it doesn't just mean birthing babies.
It means we have the power to create anything!

Including ourselves.

Be Uni-que!

Be a Unicorn!

[Insert horny joke here]

I'm blowing unicorn kisses to all of you!
Extra love goes to those who are motherless and childless too.
I know this can be a hard day, so hope this (uni)corny post helps.
Writing it definitely helped me.

The Astrologer

Craig Denny's The Astrologer (1975) stars Denny, a real-life astrologer,
and concerns his fictional rise to fame as the President's personal star gazer.
His character becomes so famous that he decides to make a film within the film,
called The Astrologer, which stars himself.

Find out more about this fascinating film in the video below:

If, like me, you want to see it and other forgotten film gems,
donate to (and/or share) the AGFA's worthy mission here.

Speaking of astrology,
I've been wanting to get into it more myself.
So I'm going to take Veronica Varlow's Tarot Class,
which you can learn more about and join here.

In order to practice what I learn,
I may do a reading for one of you.
If anyone is interested?
It'll be with my Zombie Tarot Cards,
since it's Zombie Awareness Month.

I'll also be reviewing the Zombie Tarot creator Stacey Graham's upcoming book,
Haunted Stuff: Demonic Dolls, Screaming Skulls & Other Creepy Collectibles soon.
As well as a bunch of other books I've been meaning to review.
So, stay tuned!
