Hack/Slash vs. Halloween Man

The Monsterverse era of Halloween Man kicks off this week
by revisiting one of the long-running webcomic's fan-favorite stories.
Cassie and Vlad from Tim Seeley's Hack/Slash cross dimensions into Solar City
to face off against elder gods, some very marvelous zombies, and finally...
Halloween Man himself.
Available for digital download for the first time, this horror/adventure epic
features art by David Baldeon (Scarlet Spider, Marvel Zombies Christmas Carol)
and a script by Halloween Man creator Drew Edwards.

If you aren't familiar with these fine freaky folks,
don't fear! You can get the details on them here:

I thoroughly enjoyed this comic
and highly recommend grabbing it from Comixology.
It's 70 pages for only $1.99!

I also recommend entering our Halloween Man Fan Art Contest
which ends in just a few days!

Hues of Oz

Today we're taking a trip to a colorful land!
No, not Rainbow Town.
Though there is a witch there too.
As you can see:

We're going to the merry scary old land of Oz!

It's hard to pick a favorite hue, but I'm going with Yellow.
Because it's the color of my favorite character's stuffing.

I also have a scarecrow of my own!
A living dead one to be exact!
His name is Isaac.

And here's a fitting song for him:

Now follow the yellow brick road...
To our hostess Oma Linda's here!

March Creative Challenge

Don't sit under the apple tree with anyone else but me!
Why? Watch this video and you shall see:

The poem is by yours truly.
(Don't worry, it's not autobiographical.)
I had that song in my head while writing it,
so I had to combine the two.
And the artwork by Gaye Hart fit it perfectly!

I must also share this axcellent artwork:

Leave No Apple Tree Unaxed by randomlywhimsical
Did you create something red for St. Patty's Day too?
If so, please add a link to your post below.

Ladies in Red

Sharing some short films in celebration of Women's Day!

First up is Joseph Catté's Like a Doll starring Pauline Helly.
It depicts the bloody struggle of a young woman against a masculine entity.

Next is David Kaplan's Little Red Riding Hood starring Christina Ricci.
It's a black comedy version of the classic tale made in 1997.

Lines from that film are also in this fitting Angelspit song:

Spread more red with me on St. Patty's Day!
Details here.
