I HAD to read this new TidalWave comic book when I saw that cover by Alex Horley.
The illustrations inside by David G. Williams are equally entrancing, so is the story.
It's written by and stars Baron Misuraca as a vampire.
He's frontman of the metal band Vasaria in real life and in the comic:
Here's how he describes it:
"In Flesh And Spirit is a metaphoric autobiography of sorts based on my passions and experiences. It represents the ultimate form of escapism. I truly bared my soul."
His beautiful soul shines through the dark story.
As he battles his bloodlust and seeks spiritual redemption.
I was pleasantly surprised that he included Bible verses in it.
The story is set in 2019, but there's two flashbacks.
First to 1303:
That's the year this sexy spirit turns him into a vampire:
Later that year a nun kills him by staking his heart.
He's brought back to unlife in 2018.
By someone removing the stake from his skeleton.
Just like Dracula in House Of Frankenstein (1944).
This scene is a homage to the one in the movie:
To find out what happens after that, you must read the book.
You can buy it in paperback or Kindle format here.
I loved it and can't wait to read the next issue.
Thank you for the monstrous review!
