Frankenstein's Three Sons

I wish there was a sitcom about Dr. Henry Frankenstein,
played by Colin Clive in Frankenstein (1931) and Bride of Frankenstein (1935),
and his three sons:

The Monster, played by Boris Karloff in the first three Universal Frankenstein films.

Dr. Wolf Frankenstein, played by Basil Rathbone in Son of Frankenstein (1939).

Dr. Ludwig Frankenstein, played by Cedric Hardwicke in Ghost of Frankenstein (1942).

People forget about Wolf and Ludwig. It's always Monster, Monster, Monster.
That's why I'm pointing them out with this post for Father's Day.

Mommie Dearest's Day

I want the Faye Dunaway as Joan Crawford in Mommie Dearest (1981) doll.

She comes with two outfits, two heads, and a wire hanger.
As you can see:

I also want this rubber monster toy called a Weirdo:

Joan gets it out of a vending machine for that little girl in the video below.
Then later she tells her to eat it! lol.

I scream for ice cream bunny vampires!

The Easter Bunny's rival The Ice Cream Bunny brought a basket of these:

You can scoop up a Count Huggin-Dazs here!

And you can watch Santa and The Ice Cream Bunny (1972) here.

It's fitting for Ape-ril too, cause it features this gorilla:

Here Come The Boogie Men!

That's the alternate title of You'll Find Out (1940),
which you can watch here!

This haunted mansion movie is perfect for Ape-ril Fools Day,
cause Kay Kyser is fooled by this taxidermied gorilla in it:

It's also perfect for Ape-ril cause it features props and miniatures from King Kong (1933).
Like the spider (from the deleted scene) and triceratops below.

Bela Lugosi, Peter Lorre and Boris Karloff are the main reasons to watch it though.
It's the only movie Bela and Peter are in together.

Saint Vincent's Day

Vincent Price played The Saint on radio and it's Women's History Month,
so it's the perfect day to share this new ebook I bought here:

I loved it, especially his review of my favorite movie Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte.
It's both funny and complimentary, like many of his stories about the famous ladies.
I adore most of the actresses in the book, like Joan Crawford and Bette Davis.

But a few were new to me, like Barbara O'Neil, who was Vincent's first girlfriend.
I need to see them in Tower of London (1939) and compare it to his 1962 version.

One of Vincent's non-actress friends in the book is Mrs. Jack Warner.
He mentioned a portrait Salvador Dali painted of her, so I found it:

Vincent also commissioned a painting by Dali, which I posted here.
A photo of Vincent's third wife, actress Coral Browne, is there too.
The book ends with a lovely letter he wrote for her memorial service.

And a cup of blood tea:

Japanese Halloween Treats from Blippo.com

Happy New Year!
I celebrated the start of 2019 and Japanuary by eating these:

Koala's March Halloween Chocolate Cookies

They're like the Hello Panda cookies I posted about here.
Bears celebrating Halloween on cookies with chocolate inside.
There's more than 10 characters though, as you can see:

I LOVE them and their box.

It includes this eye mask to cut out:

And shows how to make a bow:

Using a piece of cardboard from the top of two boxes:

I'll do that after I finish the second box.

Skeleton Ramune Candy Set

Ramune (Japanese soda) flavored hard candy bones are in the coffin.
On the back is a skeleton to show how to put the bones together.

Here's how my skeleton turned out:

With him are these candy Monster Stamps:

I had fun playing with them.
