On the Darkest Day

Warden Stokely has spread some light my way!
(Thank you! :) Check out her Horrorzine here!

The Rules!

1. Include the award's logo in a post or on your blog
2. Link to the person who nominated you
3. Answer 10 questions about yourself
4. Nominate 10 Bloggers
5. Link your nominees to the post and comment on their blogs,
letting them know they have been nominated

1. How long have you been doing this, and when did you launch?

Oct. 14th, 2010. I can't believe my baby blog is 3 years old!

2. Most pleasant blogging surprise?

I agree with Warden S. Fellow Horror Bloggers are the best!
A few have become like family to me.

3. Most hard won blogging wisdom?

Give plenty of notice about events.
I don't follow my own advice though,
so I'm starting one on Dec. 1st!

4. Topic of your favorite post?

The friendship of Peter Cushing & Christopher Lee.
The post isn't my favorite, but it's one of them.
And I was surprised it didn't get any comments.

5. Favorite movie franchise?

I’m a die hard Michael fan like Warden S.

Tech N9ne is too, apparently!

6. Favorite animal?

(They're rabbits with bat wings,
and sadly only exist in my mind.)

7. Recent movie you most feel the need to re-evaluate?

I must evaluate some recent movies before I can re-evaluate them! lol.

8. Favorite band?

The Dresden Dolls, who are sadly defunct now.
I love Amanda's solo stuff though.
And Brian plays drums on Voltaire's upcoming album,
Raised By Bats, which I can't wait to get!

9. Favorite movie to subject straights to even though I’m almost certain they won’t enjoy it?

Blood Tea And Red String.
It bewilders people, which is one of the reasons why I love it!

10. Favorite movie to subject straights to because I’m certain they will enjoy it?

Night Of The Living Dead.
I think even people who aren't horror fans can appreciate it.

And the award goes to...

Annie Walls

Being Retro

Ghost Hunting Theories

Little Gothic Horrors

Living Dead Girl Nicole

Kweeny Todd

Memoirs of a Scream Queen

Real Queen of Horror

Space Jockey Reviews

The Gothic Embrace

  1. Way to go Holly! Michael fans unite! hmmm So what did you think of Halloween III. I caught a lot of guff cause I dissed it. But I was just pissed off cause Michael wasn't in it. So I was challenged by TheVern over at Vern's VideoVanguad and Alex over at The Dark Exegesis (He's so friggin' smart) to watch it as a stand alone film. So I will try it...again. I guess I'll have to "re-evaluate" it. The Dresden Dolls? I have heard of them, but I haven't heard them. Hey that sounds pretty cool. So I'll definitely check out Amanda's solos and Voltaires album, since anything entitled Raised by Bats has to be cool. I took note of Blood Tea and Red String. It's not like a Carrie-in-the-shower-room Red String, right? hahaha. And yes, everyone should watch Night of the Living Dead. Seriously should be required viewing, especially for bigots and jackasses. That was one of my first posts. I love the poster image of the little girl in green light. Seriously one of my favorite images. If not my favorite. Hhmmm. notice of events. That is very good advice. And I heard Alice. That's what caught my eye first off on your blog was Alice. "I often give myself very good advice. But I very seldom follow it." That's pretty much the story of my life. I had to check out your Peter and Christopher post, too. And I'm so glad I did. People, you are missing out! Check it out! You may even cry. And it's really ok if Horror Bloggers cry. Aw. Great answers, Holly. The best part about the Sunshine Award is learning about the winners. Congrats again! And thanks for passin' around a little sol. I'll check out your nominees. I'd like to check out your pages, and hop on the Creepmas train. But, right now, I have to go to bed. Man, I'd sure like to call in dead tomorrow....There's blogging to be done! Until next time...Keep those fires stoked!
    Eternally Yours

    1. First off, sorry for the extremely late reply!

I agree with you completely about Halloween III. I don't consider it part of the series, since our Michael isn't in it.

You can check out The Dresden Dolls and Amanda's music here!
She did a song with Voltaire actually, called Stuck With You lol, which you can listen to here!
Raised By Bats isn't out yet, but you can listen to songs from it here!

Ooh, maybe that's what they used to make the Blood Tea! lmao. Eww, that's gross, even for me! lol.
It's a stop-motion movie actually, and there's no speaking in it. Definitely odd, but I adore it!

Yess, that Night of the Living Dead poster is awesome! I own it actually. :) I also have NotLD action figures. I'm a bit obsessed with that movie, as you can see! lol.

And yep, I'm also an Alice addict, obviously! lol. I often feel like her.
That reminds me of another song! lol. You can listen to it here.

Thanks so much for checking out and commenting on my Peter and Christopher post! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I must admit I got teary eyed writing it. I bet many of us Horror Bloggers are secretly softies lol.

I loved learning about you too. Thanks again for the award!
And damn life, getting in the way of blogging! lol.

  2. Thank you so much for giving my blog a shout out as well as the Etsy Massacre Team sale! You rock!

    1. You're quite welcome! And thank you! You rock too!
