Freaky Fashion Friday: Bloody Bunny Ears

Pinkindus of Freyagushi ♥

(Sc)Hare-up your Easter ensemble with a pair of bloody bunny ears!

Buy a bunny ears headband (pictured above)
or make your own out of felt, paper, or lace.
Then simply splatter them with red paint or Spray Blood.

You could also pop in some fangs and be Bunnicula!
(See guys, you can rock the rabbit ears too!)

Complete the look with
a white carrot necklace

Wear the ears on your hand instead of your head!

(Just bloody them up!)

Wednesday, March 28, 2012 Review and Giveaway

I'm crazy about candelabras and anything mini,
so when I saw this I knew I had to have it.
Now thanks to Baron Bob I do!

My Review

Box Contains:
- Candelabra (2 Pieces)
- 9 White Candles
- Instruction Sheet

Assembly is a snap, literally!
The top and bottom snap together securely.

The candles also fit snugly into their slots.
When turned upside down, none fell out.

I've decided to let the candelabra live on my antique toy piano
(which I'm planning to paint soon) till I have a cake to put it on.
In order to do so though,
I had to hack this pick off the bottom...

Actually my brother did it, cause I'm a weakling.
(I also don't trust myself with sharp objects.)
He used wire cutters and it came off in 2 snips.

Now I can have my candelabra on my cake,
AND my toy piano too!
(I'll post pics of it once it's painted, promise!)

Anyway, I highly recommend this fun, fancy little item.
You can get 20% off your order now too with code FIRST20!
(I may take advance of that, cause I need a weenie martini!)

They're also giving away this!

"Will you walk into my parlor?"

Said the Spider...
Jill Banner as Virginia Merrye in Spider Baby (1968)

"Isn't she lovely? And so deadly.
Her kiss is fifteen times as poisonous as that of the rattlesnake.
What I think I love the most about her is her in-born need to dominate, posess.
In fact, immediately after the consummation of her marriage to the smaller
and weaker male of the specie, she kills and eats him.
Ooh, she is delicious! (And I hope he was.)"

- Excerpt from the Intro to Alice Cooper's The Black Widow by Vincent Price

...To the Fly.
Mantan Moreland as the Messenger/First Fly

It's funny that I'm so fond of this film (and poem), since I have arachnophobia.
I should be rooting for the fly, but I'm captured by Virginia's creepy cuteness.
And even though I fear spiders, they fascinate me. Their webs are works of art.
Speaking of which,
I learned from the film Lilith (1964) that you can tell a spider is insane by it's web.

"The web of most 'normal' spider species is as distinctive and invariable as their coloring.
But the 'mad' ones spin out fantastic, asymmetrical, and rather nightmarish designs.
A most unsettling fact."

Dr. Lavrier (James Patterson)

This post (my 100th!) is for Madness Month and Women's History Month.
Also Women In Horror Month, which I couldn't let pass without mentioning.

So, who's your favorite flipped female?

Though I adore Virginia/Spider Baby, my first love is Baby Jane
